In another momentous triumph, Saguday, together with Solana and Tuguegarao City, has proudly clinched the top spot in the Region 02 LCAT VAWC Functionality Awards. With an exceptional functionality score of 105%, the municipality has set a remarkable precedent in the pursuit of eradicating violence against women. The prestigious accolade was bestowed upon Saguday during a momentous ceremony held in Tuguegarao City on December 1, 2023.
The award was graciously received by Maam Emily Prego, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO), and Executive Assistant Marjorie Madjo Soriano. They stood as representatives of the Hon. Jerry Pagbilao, whose visionary leadership has played a pivotal role in driving positive change within the community.
The LCAT VAWC Functionality Awards form an integral part of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, a vital initiative led by the Regional Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02.
