In a commendable feat, Saguday clinched 1st place in Zero Open Defecation, demonstrating its commitment to sanitation and creating a hygienic living environment. Additionally, the municipality secured 3rd place in the Family Planning Excellence Award, highlighting its dedication to comprehensive healthcare, particularly in the domain of family planning initiatives for the welfare of its residents. Saguday’s distinction as a Finalist for Disaster Risk Reduction Management for Health underscores its proactive approach to safeguarding health services during emergencies, showcasing resilience and preparedness in the face of potential challenges.

The awards, symbolizing Saguday’s commitment to health and well-being, were graciously accepted by a dedicated team of individuals at the forefront of the municipality’s health initiatives. Dr. Vivian Agapito Elizarde, Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Angeline Louise Anj Villar, Doctor to the Barrios, Joanne Raiza ST Tañagras, Public Health Nurse, and Nonalyn Nikki Simbre Bagay, Rural Sanitation Inspector, stood as representatives of Saguday in this momentous achievement.
